An hour from Paris, on the A15 highway, paralel to the ancient Roman road joining Paris to Rouen (the Julius Cesar road) and passing by "Hallaincourt", you will appreciate the travel in French history.
Classed as gothic treasure of Picardie, you will arrive at the castle of Alincourt through a gate decorated with two XIIth century pillars. Its XVth century poterne and dovecote, the XVIth century chapel and the XVIIIth century stables are on your left. On the right, the XVth century checkerboard facade with its tower. From there, you enter the gothic part with the XIIIth century cellars and the suite of medieval rooms (massive fireplaces, coofered ceilings, frescoes, tapestries). Through a large double door, you reach the XVIIIth century part with its reception rooms (marble fireplaces, gilded boiseries) and the access to the Honour Court (400 m2), the terrace (1500 m2) and the paved North yard, ornemented with boxtrees. All around, you can enjoy the 2 ha of French gardens, the kitchen garden and past the doors, the 110 ha of park with ponds and drives.
